The CARO offices are mandated to support local authorities so that they can leverage both public and private funding to achieve the climate action commitments set out in the Local Authority Climate Action Charter, the government’s Climate Action Plan 2021 and in the Local Authority Climate Adaptation Strategies. The CARO has developed an inventory of funding sources across the public and private sector for use by local authorities and community groups.
