The Wheel is a national association of community and voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises. They aim to support a thriving community and voluntary sector at the heart of a fair and just Ireland. It’s website has a dedicated page for funding opportunities as well as a subscription based online database.
The Funding-point subscription service includes a description of grants available, current funding deadlines, a monthly newsletter, online advice on the practice of fundraising, grant applications, European funding and fundraising from the public.
The Funding-point Local Digest is a subscription service that provides local non-profit groups with detailed information aligned to their Local Authority on local, national and EU/ international funding.
The Wheel also offers a facilitation service between Public Participatory Networks and Councils to explore funding opportunities including access to a funding helpdesk.
Business in the Community
Business in the Community (BITC) is a membership network dedicated to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. Its purpose is to inspire and enable business to bring about sustainable, low carbon economy and a more inclusive society where everyone thrives.
Through their website and monthly e-zine, Sustainable Business News they post information on Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainability, funding and case studies on projects facilitated by their membership network.
Citizens Information
The Citizens Information website is a valuable source of information on public services and supports availble to citizens in Ireland. Their dedicated database - 'Supports for businesses going green', includes financial, training and mentoring supports as well as advice for companies invested in reducing their carbon emissions.
Climate Funds Explorer
The Climate Funds Explorer is a database of climate funds and supporting resources for climate adaptation and mitigation projects globally. It is hosted by the NDC Partnership, World Resources Institute, and the UNFCCC.
Enterprise Ireland
Enterprise Ireland has a range of funding and advisory supports to help Irish exporters work towards a greener future and deal with the impact of Brexit and Covid-19. These supports are designed to help businesses stabilise financially, adapt to the evolving situation and get back on the road to recovery and growth.
InvestEU Advisory Hub
The InvestEU Advisory Hub is a complementary service which along with the InvestEU Fund supports the preparation and development of various investment projects across the European Union.
The EU Covenant of Mayors
The EU Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy, launched in 2008, brings together thousands of local governments voluntarily committed to implementing EU climate and energy objectives. The EU CoM website contains an interactive funding guide that outlines initiatives managed by the EU, member states and key financial institutions e.g. EIB; as-well as information on support services and innovative financing schemes.
