The CAROs, on behalf of the local government sector submitted to the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications, the Local Authority Annual Progress Report 2021.
The report shows the significant progress made by local authorities on the implementation of actions from local authority climate change adaptation strategies and climate action plans. 12.5% of all 2462 actions are reported as complete increasing from 6.5% last year. 71.2% of actions are reported as ongoing meaning that over 83% of all actions are either complete or on their way to becoming fully implemented.
