Ireland's SDG National Implementation Plan

Ireland's SDG National Implementation Plan

Date: 20 May 2022

Consultation on the draft of Ireland's 2nd Implementation Plan

The Department of Environment, Climate and Communications has launched the final round of consultation on the draft of Ireland’s Second Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) National Implementation Plan.

The consultation will be open for submission until Close of Business Tuesday 14 June 2022. A link to the consultation can be found here.

The draft Implementation Plan aims to build on the structures and mechanisms developed as part of Ireland’s first National Implementation Plan and to develop and integrate additional approaches in areas identified through review and consultation as requiring additional action.

An initial consultation process was held last summer and reached over 5,000 individuals. The feedback provided as part of the 2021 consultation process was used to directly inform the priorities and actions developed as part of this new draft Implementation Plan.

This final round of consultation will facilitate an opportunity for final feedback and input on the draft Plan before publication. Additional updates: The SDG National Stakeholder Forum will be relaunched over the coming weeks as an additional means for stakeholder input on the draft Plan.
