Carlow Town are adapting to increased rainfall and flooding due to climate change by moving away from traditional drains and gullies to NbS and green infrastructure. This video showcases a series of raingardens created in Carlow Town, designed to slow, capture and filter rainwater during heavy downpours. These raingardens were developed with the support of LAWPRO (Local Authority Waters Programme), working in partnership with the local authority to deliver practical climate adaptation measures that benefit both people and the environment.
