In 2020 Cork City Council added 76 electric cars and vans to its fleet. Two of the new electric cars are pooled vehicles, dedicated for use by City Hall based staff travelling on Council business.  Since 2020 the pooled electric cars have been used by over 100 staff to drive over 44,000 km which has offset over 6,500 kg CO2.
