Action 182 of the 2019 Climate Action Plan states: "Build local/regional resilience to the impacts of climate change through delivery of Local Authority Adaptation Strategies as required under the NAF". A subaction of Action 182 states: "Ensure implementation of 2019 CARO work programme and develop 2020 work programme". To comply with these requirements an annual CARO Work Programme is agreed by the National Local Authority Climate Action Steering Group to which the CARO provide regular updates on progress. An End of Year Report is also issued to provide an overview and highlights of some of the work undertaken by the CARO throughout the year​.
