Event Description The Climate Action Plan 2021 was launched on 4th November and sets out a plan to achieve a 51% reduction in overall greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, placing Ireland on a path to reach net-zero emissions by 2050, as committed to in the Programme for Government and set out in the Climate Act 2021. At this briefing, SEAI will summarise the key points of CAP 2021 and what it means for the M&R 2030 public sector targets and methodology. SEAI will also give an overview of reporting building register data, which will be optional in the upcoming M&R cycle but will become a mandatory requirement when the new M&R system is released in 2023.
